چکیده
1. Assay Method of CoA CoA assay method was based on Kaplan-Lipmann's method (2). The hepatic nitrogen content was determined by micro-Kjeldahl's method. Male albino rats of Wistar strain weighing 50 g were fed on a commercial solid feed for the first day and on a 18 % milk casein feed for the next two days. The animals were then divided into two groups and fed on a synthetic diet as shown in Table 1. The hepatic weight, nitrogen content and CoA content were determined 1, 2 and 4 weeks later. For studies on the influence of dietary amino acid composition, the animals were placed on a preliminary feeding period as mentioned above. They were divided into seven groups from A to G and were fed on a sythetic diet correspond ing to 1/8 of the body weight as shown in Table 2 for ten days prior to the ex periment. The control group (C) received 5 % milk casein enriched with 9 essential amino acids suggested to be essential for the growth of albino rats by Rose (3),

An Evolutionary Relationship Between Stearoyl-CoA Desaturase (SCD) Protein Sequences Involved in Fatty Acid Metabolism
Background: Stearoyl-CoA desaturase (SCD) is a key enzyme that converts saturated fatty acids (SFAs) to monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) in fat biosynthesis. Despite being crucial for interpreting SCDs’ roles across species, the evolutionary relationship of SCD proteins across species has yet to be elucidated. This study aims to present this evolutionary relationship based on amino aci...

This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of nano selenium (nano-Se) and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) on performance, biometric and blood parametersand selenoprotein W1 (SEPW1) and lipid gene expression in male Moghani lambs. Thirty male Moghani lambs, 3-months-old and weighing 30 ± 0.25 kg, were used in completely randomized design in a 2 × 3 factorial arrangement with dietary suppl...
متن کاملEffects of squat exercise and branched-chain amino acid supplementation on plasma free amino acid concentrations in young women.
The present study was conducted to examine alterations in plasma free amino acid concentrations induced by squat exercise and branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) supplementation in young, untrained female subjects. In the morning on the exercise session day, participants ingested drinks containing either BCAA (isoleucine:leucine:valine=1:2.3:1.2) or dextrin (placebo) at 0.1 g/kg body weight 15 min...
متن کاملEffects of Dietary Essential Amino Acid Concentrations on the Spawning Performance of Yellowfin Sea Bream, Acanthopagrus latus
A study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary essential amino acid (EAA) concentrations on the spawning performance of Acanthopagrus latus. Broodstocks were fed with three replicates of isonitrogenous and isolipid formulated diets (diet 1, diet 2 and diet 3) with different concentrations of EAA (15.40, 16.88 and 18.14%, respectively) for 138 days. Results showed relative fecundity...
متن کاملEffect of fish oil replacement by poultry waste oil in feeds on growth parameters, chemical composition and fatty acid profile of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)
The present study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary fish oil replacement by poultry fat on growth performance and fillet quality, Oncorhynchus mykiss. Three diets were used in this experiment, containing different percentages of poultry fat (0% (D1), 50% (D2) and 100% (D3) replacement with fish oil. The fish were reared as three treatments; the fish fed D1 diet; the fish fed D2 diet; ...
